Psychology & Artificial Intelligence
Pennsylvania State University
I am a postdoctoral scholar in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Creativity Lab at the Pennsylvania State University, led by Roger Beaty.
My dissertation used psychometrics to analyze the validity and reliability natural language inference, a popular assessment of inferential reasoning in natural language processing. Since joining CNCL, my research has focused on the application of large language models to the development of educational and psychological assessments, especially creativity tests. I am particular interested in how generative AI can be used to create more valid, reliable, and dynamic assessments than is possible using traditional test development methods. My work has been published in respected NLP and psychometrics venues, including ACL, EMNLP, and the Proceedings of the Psychometric Society. My specific areas of expertise include item parameter estimation, automated item generation, AI-based scoring, natural language processing, and machine learning.
I welcome any inquiries about my research, if you'd like to connect please use one of the methods listed below.
